How Payment, the Platform Fee & Payouts Work
Every quote on Hai Pet shows the booking subtotal, the platform fee and the total you pay, so you know the full price before paying:
Nothing is charged when you send a request. After the host accepts, you pay online via Cashfree within the payment window shown on your booking; the booking is confirmed once payment is verified.
A percentage platform fee (default 10%, as shown on your booking) is retained by Hai Pet to run the booking software, payments and customer support.
The platform holds the payment and releases the host’s payout (the booking subtotal minus the platform fee) within 7 days after check-out.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) Treatment
All transactions executed on Hai Pet for Indian users are subject to the applicable provisions of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) Act, and Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) Act:
- Platform Convenience Fee: Applicable GST at 18% is levied specifically on the platform technology and booking facilitation fees charged by Hai Pet.
- Tax Invoices: A digitally signed GST tax invoice containing our GSTIN, breakdown of SGST/CGST/IGST, and booking details is automatically generated and downloadable from your booking dashboard and sent via email upon payment confirmation.
- Independent Host Turnover: Unregistered individual neighborhood pet hosts whose aggregate annual turnover is below the statutory threshold (₹20 Lakhs per annum) operate under applicable GST exemption rules. Registered commercial pet hotels and kennels provide their respective GSTINs on their invoices.
Hai Pet integrates directly with Cashfree Payments India Pvt Ltd. We accept UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), all major Credit & Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), Net Banking (50+ Indian banks). Refunds follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy: full refund 48 hours or more before the start date, 50% within 48 hours, no refund after care starts; approved refunds typically reach your bank in 5–7 business days.
